A business has many sides.

Start with the basics. Explore the coverage areas that may matter to your operation.

ON THE ROAD

Commercial Auto

Business vehicles bring their own risks. Commercial auto insurance can address liability and damage to covered vehicles, depending on the policy and coverages selected.

What to discuss in a coverage review

  • Your vehicles, drivers, and business use
  • Operating radius and types of cargo
  • Liability limits and physical damage options

General information only. Coverage depends on policy terms, exclusions, eligibility, and underwriting. Agency offerings will be confirmed after launch.

PLANNED SERVICES · TRANSPORTATION

Transportation filings
& permit support.

From registration to insurance filings, the details matter. We’re planning practical application assistance and filing coordination for trucking businesses.

01 / FEDERAL REGISTRATION

USDOT numbers

Assistance with USDOT registration applications and updates. A USDOT number identifies the carrier; it is separate from operating authority and does not, by itself, authorize every operation.

02 / CALIFORNIA

CA# & Motor Carrier Permits

Support with CHP-issued CA numbers and separate California DMV Motor Carrier Permit applications, including coordination of required insurance documentation.

03 / FEDERAL AUTHORITY

Operating authority

Application assistance for MC operating authority when the business’s operations require it, plus BOC-3 coordination through a process agent.

04 / INSURANCE FILINGS

State & federal coordination

Coordination of applicable insurance filings, such as California MC 65 M certificates and federal BMC-91/91X filings, through the insurer or appropriate authorized filer.

Does every trucking business need federal insurance filings?

No. Requirements depend on the operation, cargo, vehicle, and routes. Many for-hire interstate carriers need operating authority and related filings; private carriers and certain exempt operations have different requirements. A USDOT number alone does not mean every federal filing is required.

Who submits the insurance and process-agent filings?

Required federal insurance forms are submitted by an authorized filer, generally an insurer’s representative. California MC 65 M insurance certificates come from the insurer. A motor carrier’s BOC-3 is filed by a process agent. Our planned role is to assist with applications and coordinate the appropriate providers.

Services are being planned. Availability, scope, and provider arrangements will be confirmed before launch. Requirements vary; assistance does not guarantee government approval or permission to operate.

PLANNED SERVICES · BUSINESS SETUP ASSISTANCE

Start your business.
Get the paperwork moving.

Starting a business comes with a lot to organize. We’re planning filing assistance for new California businesses, including contractors and trucking companies.

CALIFORNIA STATE FILINGS

Business entity
filing assistance

Assistance organizing information and preparing and submitting California corporation or LLC formation paperwork based on your instructions, once the service’s launch requirements are met.

Discuss your entity choice and legal needs with an attorney, and tax treatment with a qualified tax professional.

FEDERAL TAX IDENTIFICATION

EIN application
assistance

Help with the IRS Employer Identification Number application after state formation, where applicable. Third-party application assistance requires your signed authorization.

The IRS issues EINs for free. Any fee for our assistance would be disclosed separately from government filing fees.

Planned client-directed paperwork assistance, not legal or tax advice. Service scope, pricing, and any required registrations or qualified-provider arrangements will be confirmed before launch.
